  1. Have a regular skin care regimen. From cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen to night serum and night cream.
  2. As Diwali comes with freezing winter, moisturize your skin immediately after a bath and before going to bed.
  3. Avoid taking too hot water for bathing- Though it’s very tempting to turn up the hot-water heater to make those showers extra toasty. However, hot water dehydrates your skin and hair.
  4. A healthy scrub bath with utane on the morning of Diwali can bring out your natural glow. Utane powder baths help in exfoliating dead skin cells and stimulating blood circulation, which gives a fresh look. But don’t forget to moisturizer after scrub bath
  5. Cleanse your face at the beginning and end of the day. Remove all make-up before you go to sleep.
  6. While we know you can’t wait to dig into the festive delicacies, try to keep a note of what you put on your plate. Eat fresh fruits, greens, sufficient protein, and vitamins. A diet rich in vitamin C and Vitamin E promotes radiant skin.
  7. Keep a check on your fried food and sugar intake too. Overdosage of fried and sugary foods can lead to breakouts, weight gain, and dull-looking skin. Enjoy them all but in limited portions and glow through the celebrations.
  8. Try to sleep at least 8 hours every night. If you don’t get enough sleep, your skin gets tired just like you – it sags.
  9. Hydrate yourself. Drink lots of water daily, at least 8 glasses if not more. Also, eats fruits and vegetables that have high water content.
